Little Lee

Little Lee ran away from home,
Her parents searched high and low,
Will she be found, our little Lee,
Asked his wife, Mrs. Dee.

She will sure come back,
For she is a little off track,
For now, her heart knows she will soon,
Be back to us, she is our melodic tune.

Where did you go, little Lee?
Cried out Mr. and Mrs. Dee,
Will you return home,
Soon after you roam?

“Mummy! Daddy! Here I am.”
Yelled little Lee, as she swam,
Over to her parents, on the shore,
On the back of big Mr. Yore.

Tears of joy fell,
Mr. and Mrs. Dee yell,
“My darling child” as they ran,
To her in their hand, their swan.

Returned to her home safely,
Eating flan little Lee,
Mrs. Dee hugged her tight to her chest,
Finding her with full of zest.

The story of little Lee,
Mr. and Mrs. Dee,
A family now not three,
Lived never happily.

Based on Lucy – William Wordsworth
