**What is Verses and Caffeine About?**

Verses and Caffeine isn’t just a collection of 41 poems; it’s a heartfelt journey through the intricate landscapes of love, loss, identity, and self-reflection. Each poem offers a glimpse into life’s complexities, written during moments of introspection.

This collection explores themes such as:

Childhood innocence versus adulthood’s demands (Such a Child)
The marks left by life’s experiences (Scars)
Navigating love and heartbreak (Dear Lover)
Challenging societal expectations (To Love and Be Loved, Under an Umbrella)

These verses aim to resonate deeply, offering a sense of connection and solace—like a quiet, comforting conversation on a rainy day.

My Favorite Poem: “Rather Be Alone”

Of all the poems in this collection, Rather Be Alone holds a special place in my heart. It captures the bittersweet truth of choosing solitude over insincerity and valuing self-respect above all else.

Here’s an excerpt:

“I expected you to accept me,
The way I am, my likes and dislikes,
Not to follow it, but to agree,
With me if it was right, else take it light,
Not be so harsh and prick me with your spikes,
Of beliefs, views, and opinion of might.

Is this the way, a friend would be?
If yes, then I don’t want this.
I would love to be alone, than in bad company,
And take the insults and diss.”

This poem is a declaration of self-worth and a gentle reminder to honor your boundaries and walk away from toxic relationships.

Why I Wrote This Book

As a writer, I’ve always believed in the transformative power of words—their ability to heal, inspire, and connect. Verses and Caffeine was born from my own experiences, serving as a medium to process life’s uncertainties and celebrate its moments of clarity.

Each poem tells a story—a memory, a fleeting emotion, or a question about the world. My hope is that these verses bring comfort, reflection, and perhaps a spark of inspiration to your life.
